SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

 

The regional EHS Supervisor is responsible for accountable to foster a team culture in which safety, compliance, procedural adherence, operational excellence, and results orientation are the foundation. Specifically, this position provides environmental, health, and safety leadership to the sites in all safety areas including personal safety, safety system development, compliance, and safety training, as well as assisting in implementation of compliance strategies for these programs. This role will oversee and ensure the successful implementation of Health and Safety (H&S) data management, processes, Lindsay Safety System development and implementation at the plant level. This position will influence operational decisions about capital expansion, and modification to existing operations to support continued compliance with Corporate and regulatory agency requirements.

The job holder may be required to perform other duties that may reasonably be required, and which is associated with his/her skills from time to time by his/her Global Director EHS and Plant Manager in Turkey.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES:

 

As an employee of Lindsay Sulama the employee’s responsibilities are, but not limited to:

 

 

  • Environmental sampling & record keeping
  • Environmental inspections for various locations including Brazil, EMEA&APAC.
  • Safety program implementation and management (e.g. LOTO, Machine Guarding, JSA, etc.)
  • Assist with safety program development
  • Delivering, developing, tracking and monitoring EHS Training
  • Injury investigation, tracking and reporting
  • Conducting Site risk assessments (all levels-site, department, work cell)
  • Lead employee safety committee
  • Safety analytic tracking and trending
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support and implementation of the Lindsay Safety System

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIRED STANDARDS (JOB HOLDER AND HIS/HER DEPARTMENT) IN TERMS OF MEASUREMENT / KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS KPI)

 

  1. Prepare and provide EHS Training such that all employees are fully trained on all appropriate Safety programs,
  2. Work Collaboratively with each international location to ensure Job Safety Assessments are completed in a timely manner,
  3. Meet and exceed EHS Goals for all international locations,
  4. Manage Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure EHS compliance on all plant related changes/modifications/expansions,
  5. Develop effective safety committees at each assigned location.

 

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Competencies:

 

  • Candidate must have bachelor’s and/or Master of Science degree in a related field,
  • Class A or B Occupational Safety Expertise,
  • Min +5 years of experience in a technical EHS role,
  • Experience in building and developing a strong safety culture,
  • High level of personal integrity,
  • Ability to travel.

 

Skills (Technical, Behavioral and other):

 

  • Self-starter,
  • Strong organizational skills,
  • Familiarity and experience with EHS Data Management Systems,
  • Must have clear communication and writing skills in English,
  • Ability to speak in front of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds.

 

 

Knowledge:      

 

  • Ability to lead and support EHS initiatives,
  • Demonstrated proficiency in safety program implementation & operation,
  • Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft word, excel, etc.

 

Education/ Qualification: 

 

Preferred/Recommended:           Bachelor’s and/or Master of Science degree in a related field      

 

 

 

Experience                                        

 

Preferred/Recommended:           At least +5 years of experience in a technical EHS role.
