Kanban Coordinator

As a Kanban Coordinator, you will help plan, organize, monitor, and record the progress of our Kanban boards and processes throughout the facility.

The Kanban Coordinator is responsible for the daily administrative tasks in support of the Kanban Manager and Production Teams. This role receives general supervision from the Kanban Manager regarding scheduling, record keeping and controlling inventory. This individual also spends time in manufacturing helping with various tasks.


  • Development and Implementation of all Kanban boards.  Boards must all be standardized, and ensure all necessary paperwork and training associated with specific boards is complete.
    • Print all labels and paperwork associated with boards, and planning
    • Manage Kanban Boards and keep all data as current as possible
  • Ability to multitask, plan, and organize
  • Responsible for reviewing Kanban boards, completing Kanban requests, and providing updates to production team with completed jobs and releases.
  • Work closely with the Kanban Manager and Production Teams to troubleshoot any label and paperwork issues
  • Take messages and input from production team and communicate/problem solve as needed regarding Kanban boards.


  • High school diploma required
  • At least 1 year of production/manufacturing experience
  • Experience with modern production practices and procedures
  • Experience with computerized inventory practices, procedures and forms
  • Experience with principles, practices and procedures of production record keeping
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude, team spirit, cooperation and a willingness to learn
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

Other Requirements

Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply knowledge based understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to write in-depth reports and correspondence.
