FIELD SERVICE & TRAINING SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Functions: The Field Service & Training Support Technician is responsible for taking operational responsibility and accountability for the company’s operational in-field and remote service support and, implementing and sustaining training processes for the organization and for all dealers in the region, for Zimmatic, FieldNET and Perrot products.
This role is “housed” in Toowoomba but requires frequent customer site visits. Expected travel for this role is approximately 25% (i.e. roughly 1 week per month). This role is supported by a team of specialists – who are keen to ensure this incumbent thrives. Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Supervise mechanical and electrical installation, monitor and enforce scope as well as manage customer expectations.
- Support the installation in field of Lindsay equipment.
- Support dealers on the equipment problem resolution, through in-field or remote assistance.
- Train dealer service technicians about Lindsay equipment in regional or ad-hoc programs.
- Work with internal sales teams on sales, shows and dealer events.
- Review projects, define the equipment and service scope with customer and sales department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Good mechanical, electrical and electronic skills.
- Proficiency in English is a must.
- Excellent project management, organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and independent thinking are required.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics or engineering (preferred), or similar technical field.
- Competent or expert level in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Good general Ag understanding.
- Strong technical irrigation experience.
- Significant experience in field service on ag machinery.
