Position Description


Lindsay Corporation is hiring an Electrical Test Intern to perform various electrical evaluations and tests on High & Low voltage systems including Lindsay products, competitive product benchmarking, and new R&D projects. The position requires a strong electrical aptitude, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various electrical test equipment. This position reports to the Test Engineer and is located at the heart of the Lindsay operation in Lindsay, Nebraska.




  • Currently enrolled in a two-year trade school with a focus on Electrical, Electromechanical, and/or Automation Systems or two years of relevant experience. 
  • Basic understanding of AC & DC Electrical Theory, Transformers, Three-Phase Electrical Systems, Motors & Controllers, Programmable Logic Controllers, Data Communications Systems, Variable Frequency Drives, Fiber Optics, Vision Systems, Digital Control Systems, and Network Systems
  • Ability to operate various electrical test devices including digital multimeter, oscilloscope, network testers, power supplies, as well as various hand tools used for terminating electrical cables.
  • Capable of setting up, conducting, and reporting on various test procedures as outlined by the engineering department.
  • Capable of reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical circuits
  • Ability to operate all hand tools associated with electrical wire termination including wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons.




  • Must possess the ability to lift up to 100lbs
  • Must be capable of working outdoors in inclement weather and in lab settings
  • Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety core principals and procedures
  • Must have general PC skills including MS Office, data entry, and report generation
