Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our dynamic team at our Lindsay, Nebraska location. The HR Business Partner will play a crucial role in partnering with business leaders to drive talent strategy, employee engagement, and HR initiatives that support our organizational goals. This role will contribute to the development and execution of HR programs that foster a positive workplace culture and enhance the overall employee experience.
Position Details
This is a full-time, salaried position based in Lindsay, NE and includes a competitive salary/benefits package. Travel requirements will be minimal (<10%), but there will be some travel primarily between our Omaha, NE and Lindsay, NE offices. This position will be part of the Lindsay, NE HR team, which also includes an HR associate and a bi-lingual training specialist.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnering: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their department's goals and objectives, align HR strategies with business needs, and develop and implement HR plans accordingly.
Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process for the Lindsay, Nebraska location, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding, ensuring we attract and retain top talent.
Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing and resolving workplace issues, conducting investigations, and promoting positive employee relations.
Performance Management: Work with managers to establish performance goals, provide coaching and feedback, and administer the performance appraisal process to enhance employee development.
HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, company policies, and procedures. Develop and communicate HR policies and procedures as necessary.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, design, and implement development programs, and support career development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits, ensuring employees have access to comprehensive and competitive benefits.
Employee Engagement: Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and recognition programs that foster teamwork and innovation.
HR Data and Analytics: Utilize HR data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations for workforce planning, talent management, and decision-making.
Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance and expertise in change management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related degree; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience in a business partnering role, with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to interpret and communicate company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate and influence individuals and groups to gain buy-in and acceptance of new ideas and approaches.
- Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
- Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency time frames.
- Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or HR certification.
- HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees and management.
- Exceptional computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Proven experience in managing complex HR projects and initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
