Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new Safety Intern, reporting to the EHS Manager in Lindsay, NE.  This intern position will help to provide environmental, health and safety support at the plant level as well as potentially globally.  Specifically, this role will help with the development of safety training as well as metrics for tracking safety across the plant that can be utilized on a global scale as needed.


Position Details

This will be a full-time internship, located at our manufacturing facility in Lindsay, Nebraska. The position will be expected to work 40-hours per week and may be assigned to first or second shift depending up organization needs. There will be limited domestic travel requirements. Salary will be commensurate with experience and a housing stipend may be provided.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop safety training for employees covering standard safety programs (i.e. LOTO, Machine Guarding, Ergonomics, etc.)
  • Develop safety data tracking metric system that can be utilized on a global scale.
  • Conduct Job Safety Assessments in the manufacturing facility
  • Provide training to employees (groups ranging from 1-30)
  • Work collaboratively with plant leadership team and employees to drive the safety culture


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3rd or 4th year student currently pursuing or recent graduate with a degree in safety.
  • Ability to speak in front of large groups with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations
  • Ability to explain safety regulations in an easily understandable way
  • Proficient with the Microsoft office suite (specifically excel and word) as well as other basic computer skills
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills
