Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is hiring a Tool & Die Technician at their Lindsay, Nebraska facility. This position is within the Tool & Die Department to provide operations with assistance including but not limited to die and fixture repair, consumable fabrication, as well as die and fixture design and build.
Pay/Shifts
- Starting Pay $25.00 - $27.00 / Shift Differential $.75
- 5 Days Per Week with Occasional Saturdays
- 1st Shift – 5:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (1 Opening)
- 2nd Shift – 2:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. (1 Opening)

Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and use necessary tools and measuring equipment to fabricate, repair, sharpen or modify new or existing tooling
- Fabricate and assemble various fixtures and templates.
- Diagnose die and fixture problems and make necessary repairs.
- Have a working knowledge of toolroom equipment such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders.
- Capable of verifying part requirements using proper gaging, calipers, micrometer, height gage, travel indicator, etc.
- Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.
- Conduct test runs with completed tools and dies to ensure part conformance to specifications.
- Ability to adapt easily to sudden changes in priorities.
- Aid other tool & die team members, as necessary.
- Good Housekeeping practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Two year associates degree in a related field is preferred (Tool and Die, Machinist or apprentice in a manufacturing environment).
- Ability to follow instructions and a demonstrated attention to detail is required.
- Self motivated with ability to work independently with little or no supervision is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data are required.
- Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures, while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, (push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.) and reach to perform job functions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
