Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our efforts across the EMEA region. In this role, you will be responsible for securing profitable project sales through competitive bidding and strategic negotiations with both new and existing customers and distributors. You will collaborate closely with installation teams and general contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Key responsibilities include engaging with Road Authorities and government agencies to promote and implement road safety standards, as well as overseeing the planning, direction, and coordination of designated projects. Additionally, you will provide market insights, develop strategic resources, and analyze long-term sales data to support sustained growth in the region.
Position Details
The role requires travel (up to 50%) and reports directly to the VP, Infrastructure Sales and, although this is a full-time, remote position, the preference is that the candidate resides in Germany.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, vendors, and distributors. Identify customers need to ensure satisfaction and drive new business opportunities.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with corporate goals. Execute account plans to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and satisfaction across the EMEA region.
- Business Development: Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities by analyzing market trends, financials, and strategic fit. Propose and negotiate deals with new and existing clients.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Review project proposals and define timelines, resource allocation, staffing, and procedures to ensure successful execution.
- Technical & Market Expertise: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and government agencies to ensure product inclusion in specifications. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers.
- Team Leadership & Development: Foster a results-driven sales culture through coaching, training, and performance development of the sales team.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting: Track key metrics such as pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment. Deliver insights to improve sales funnel performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Process Optimization: Enhance sales productivity by simplifying processes, refining lead qualifications, and supporting campaign performance analysis in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
- Territory & Account Management: Support customer segmentation, territory planning, and strategies for renewals and upsells. Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Civil Engineer or related field is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in managing projects and people.
- 10+ years of experience in sales and business development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to support leadership, management, negotiation and problem-solving functions.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Friendly, courteous, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented
- Demonstrates advanced ability to proactively identify risks and operational challenges, implement practical and innovative solutions, and communicate their impact to senior leadership.
- Effectively circumvents commercial and operational delays across marketing, sales, technical and delivery functions.
