Position Description
FieldWise is hiring a Global FieldWise System Support Intern for Summer 2027. In this role, you will provide operational and technical support to FieldWise dealers, growers, and internal teams through phone, email, and other support channels.
This internship offers hands-on experience in customer support, precision agriculture, irrigation technology, and global business operations. You will respond to product, system, and service inquiries, assist with basic technical troubleshooting, document customer interactions, and support the broader Irrigation Product Support team.
Position Details
This is a full-time, hourly internship located on-site at the FieldWise office at 3607 Bradford Avenue in Norfolk, Nebraska. The internship will run from May through August 2027, with an expected schedule of 40 hours per week. Some Saturday work may be required based on business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls and emails from FieldWise dealers, growers, and Lindsay internal teams in accordance with department customer service standards.
- Provide basic Tier 1 support to new and existing FieldWise customers.
- Create, maintain, and close support cases with complete and accurate documentation of customer concerns, progress, actions taken, and resolutions.
- Assist customers with basic FieldWise portal configuration, product use, and troubleshooting.
- Support customer subscription-related requests.
- Develop a working knowledge of the FieldWise product portfolio and its integration with supported third-party equipment.
- Assist with customer acceptance testing for system enhancements, new products, and defect corrections involving FieldWise and supported third-party systems.
- Complete assigned tasks in support of the Irrigation Product Support team.
- Collaborate with FieldWise and Lindsay colleagues to support a positive and unified company culture.
- Participate in required internship events, projects, and professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program, or a recent graduate of such a program, in agriculture, agronomy, mechanized systems, engineering, business, information technology, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and provide responsive, customer-focused support.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, accountability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining complete and accurate records.
- Basic proficiency with computers, web-based applications, email, and standard office software.
- Ability to work on-site at the FieldWise office in Norfolk, Nebraska, 40 hours per week from May through August 2027, including occasional Saturdays based on business needs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for the duration of the internship.
- Basic understanding of agriculture, crop production, or farming systems is preferred.
- Interest in precision agriculture and irrigation technology is preferred.
- Previous customer support, help desk, or technical support experience is preferred.
- Previous work experience in agriculture, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
