Position Description
FieldWise is hiring a new Junior Service Technician. This position reports to the Service Manager and is primarily responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telemetry systems. The Junior Service Technician will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and meets the needs of our agricultural clients.

 

Position Details

  • Type: Full-time
  • Location: Norfolk, Nebraska
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, with up to 60 hours during the busy season

  • Travel: Install or upgrade equipment in various field locations within a 300-mile radius of Norfolk. Occasional travel across the U.S. may be required to support dealers in other key markets

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install telemetry systems at client locations
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Provide technical support and training to clients
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in the development of service manuals and guides
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct field tests to ensure system functionality
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on service operations

 

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

  • Preferred:
    • Associate degree in electronics or a related field
    • Previous experience in a similar role
    • Center pivot and electrical background

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods
