Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a Thru-Hole Assembler III. This position is tasked with assembling and soldering through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet the stringent requirements of IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards. This class is designated for high-performance electronic products, including those used in aerospace, military, and medical applications, where reliability and precision are critical. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

Position Details

This is a full-time position located at our manufacturing facility located in Olathe, KS. This is a 1st shift position. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 3:30pm. Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Every-other-Friday off. Occasional extension of typical hours may be necessary, dependent upon business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare, place and solder through-hole components on PCBs according to detailed Visual Aids, Bills of Materials, schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Ensure all assemblies meet IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, which include rigorous criteria for solder joints, component placement, and overall assembly quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and inspections performed.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality protocols, including ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions and proper handling of sensitive components.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in through-hole PCB assembly, preferably with knowledge of IPC-A-610 Class 3 acceptable criteria.
  • Proficiency in soldering, component identification, and reading technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Must be fluent in the English language.  
  • IPC-A-610 certification is highly desirable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Use of soldering irons, magnification tools, and various hand tools for assembly and inspection. Must be able to move and manipulate assemblies up to 10 pounds.
