Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a Conformal Coating / Encapsulation Operator. This position is tasked with applying protective coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. These coatings protect the components from environmental factors such as moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

Position Details

This is a full-time position located at our newly remodeled manufacturing facility located in Olathe, KS. This is a 1st shift position. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 3:30pm. Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Every-other-Friday off. Occasional extension of typical hours may be necessary, dependent upon business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate PVA conformal coating machines to apply protective coatings to PCBs and electronic assemblies.
• Operate potting and encapsulation equipment to apply protective materials to electronic components.
• Prepare and mask components and assemblies according to blueprints and process sheets.
• Mix and apply conformal coatings or silicone materials by hand or using PVA machinery.
• Inspect coated assemblies using black light to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Inspect potted and encapsulated assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform touch-up and rework on coated assemblies as needed.
• Maintain and clean coating equipment and work area.
• Document quality issues and maintain accurate production records.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• This position requires standing and walking for most of the shift while operating equipment.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in conformal coating operations or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with conformal coating, potting and encapsulation equipment.
• Knowledge of different types of potting and encapsulation materials and their applications.
• Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety practices.
