Lindsay Corporation is searching for an IoT Device Engineer to join the Olathe, KS Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our telemetry modems.  The IoT Device Engineer will be accountable for product support, product enhancements and new product design as well as work on sensors, manage the device connectivity and software updates. If you have a desire to learn and apply your IoT Device knowledge you will be successful in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the telemetry hardware and embedded software design
  • Responsible for IoT device requirements generation
  • Interface with Carrier and Modem suppliers
  • Develop schematic for troubleshooting telemetry design
  • Develop good documentation to facilitate validation and verification of designs
  • Responsible for product updates and enhancements
  • Communicate effectively with team and provide timely updates on assigned projects
  • Other duties as assigned for product design completion

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with M2M cellular and satellite communications
  • Cellular modem technology and 3GPP standards
  • BS or MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications
  • Digital interfaces and protocols including SPI, I2C, and UART
  • 5+yrs experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Experience with Compilers and RTOS
  • Ability to understand a schematic for troubleshooting telemetry design
  • Test equipment such as oscilloscope, DVM, power supply, and JTAG debuggers
  • Board level and system testing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to problem solve independently
