Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Surface Mount Lead to oversee our surface mount technology (SMT) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMT processes, equipment, and team leadership. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production line.
Position Details
This is a full-time, Olathe, KS based position. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 3:30pm. Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Every other Friday off. Occasional extension of typical hours may be necessary, dependent upon business needs. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the SMT team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Participate as an active member of the SMT team, assist in preparing components for machine loading and operate a pick and place machine.
- Oversee the setup and operation of SMT equipment.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SMT processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production workflows.
- Implement and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of SMT operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in SMT operations and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of SMT equipment, processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in writing, reading and speaking the English language.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using SMT software and tools.
