Position Description
The Final Assembly Lead will play a crucial role in the final assembly team, ensuring products are assembled efficiently and accurately. This position involves coordinating assembly processes, directing team members, and maintaining quality standards to meet production schedules.
Position Details
This is a full-time, first shift, Olathe, KS based position. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 3:30pm. Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Every other Friday off. Occasional extension of typical hours may be necessary, dependent upon business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate actively in the final assembly team and assemble products.
- Observe, maintain, coordinate, and complete assemblies in a timely manner.
- Direct team members to move assemblies to subsequent departments, ensuring a smooth flow of the production process.
- Work with supervisors and managers to prioritize job assignments to ensure the production schedule is met.
- Assist in training employees to ensure procedures and quality requirements are met.
- Collaborate with support staff to resolve issues.
- Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality Management System.
- Adhere to detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Complete required documentation relating to business operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Serve as a positive role model and change agent to support company initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- 2 to 4 years of electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to lead and train team members.
- Strong communication skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to retain information.
- Detail-oriented.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- The position may require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects up to 25 pounds.
