Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is hiring an Enterprise Architect within its overall technology organization, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Technology & Innovation. This important role will be responsible for cross domain product solution strategies and overseeing implementation across various locations. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for driving team productivity and ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the different hardware designs and firmware codebases.
This multi-dimensional entrepreneurial-minded Architect will have a diverse engineering skill set which includes Hardware (PCB Design, Schematic & Layout), Firmware (familiar with C/C++ & a variety of microcontrollers) and Software (.NET / C#, Backend and Frontend experience).
Position Details
This is a full-time, salaried position that is based in our Omaha, NE global headquarters and comes with a highly competitive benefits package. Travel requirements will be minimal (<25%), but there may be some travel to various office locations and conferences.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees and manages the productivity, objectives, and development of the technology teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and development plans for the team leads and engineers
- Develops product implementation strategies based on the IoT product roadmap and allocates resources accordingly, highlighting any gaps and providing solutions to address these gaps
- Identifies and defines key IoT engineering continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with Product Management to get these initiatives added to the overall IoT product roadmap
- Assists in the design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery of high-quality IoT solutions, including new products and features
- Ensures designs, code and configurations produce IoT functionality that meets the defined functional specifications
- Clearly and rapidly communicates issues and roadblocks up the chain in order to maintain project timelines and sprint scope, efficiency, and productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant, professional engineering experience, including 5+ years of experience leading large, modern software engineering / IoT projects and coordinating/managing project teams
- Exceptional understanding, experience, and ability to mentor others on the following: Constrained electronic design, IoT device communication and protocols, M2M communications (cellular, satellite, etc.), compilers and RTOS, cellular modem technology.
- Ability to clearly communicate project objectives and vision, build consensus, and motivate IoT engineering teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where constant iteration, improvement, and innovation is key to the success of the team
- Robust problem-solving skills, the ability to learn from doing, personal accountability, process-oriented, and a positive and professional attitude
