Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new college level Supply Chain Intern position focused on learning and assisting the Supply Chain department in planning and monitoring purchasing and inventory levels using enterprise resource planning application and tools.
Position Details
This internship is based on site at our corporate headquarters in Omaha, NE, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. There is an option to work remotely on Fridays.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn about Lindsay’s products, international and domestic distribution channels, procedures, personnel, production locations, philosophies, and strategies.
- Assist and perform various department functions, including purchasing/planning for selected product lines, monitor inventory levels, use capacity and priority to manage the supply chain for production, purchase, and/or stock transfer orders, document procedures, analyses, attendance and documentation of meetings
- Undertake an assigned supply chain project to be completed during the internship period and include a presentation to leadership at Lindsay.
- Provide analytical support by completing a wide variety of on-going opportunities in Supply Chain Management (SCM) in functional areas of strategic supply, tactical supply, enterprise planning and supply chain design & analytics.
- Act as liaison between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence.
- Learn relevant computer software used in the department related to enterprise resource planning, demand analysis and sales & operations planning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status working towards a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field of study
- Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions to problems
- Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop ideas and solutions
- Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures and decisions to internal customers
- Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
