Job Summary:
The Electrician Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of the electrical maintenance team in a manufacturing environment focused on building transportation machinery. This position is responsible for ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery are conducted efficiently and safely. The Electrician Supervisor will support production goals by minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the work of electricians.
- Plan, schedule, and assign tasks based on production needs and maintenance requirements.
- Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, control panels, motors, and other equipment specific to transportation machinery manufacturing.
- Ensure all electrical systems and installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Diagnose electrical problems and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
- Collaborate with other departments to support equipment upgrades, new installations, and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Train and develop electrical team members on best practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Monitor inventory levels of electrical supplies and equipment, and coordinate procurement as needed.
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
- Ability to read & interpret schematics and blueprint drawings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a licensed electrician preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in transportation machinery production.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting is an advantage. (Ladder Logic is A plus)
- Relay and Safety control knowledge
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
